Bailey

Say hello to Bailey!
He is a handsome 5 year old brown tabby who came from a city shelter and is now safe with us.  Bailey would love to be your new fur baby!

Bailey’s story is a very sad one…

Bailey came from a home where his caretaker sadly passed away.  Her husband, knowing how much his wife loved her cats,  continued to care for them and even took in more cats.  There was a total of 43 cats in the home.   Tragically, the house caught fire and the owner was moved to a hotel.  He later wrote a letter to a neighbor requesting that she take care of the cats for him and then committed suicide.  The police were called and all of the cats were picked up by NYC Animal Care & Control. Councilman Robert Holden reached out to Bobbi for help. Bobbi and the Strays took in 8 of these cats in an effort to help with this desperate situation.

Bailey was not one of the 8 cats we rescued.  Until recently, he was still at the ACC and in danger of being euthanized.   Bobbi and the Strays stepped up and rescued this beautiful boy.  Now 11 lives have been saved.

Bailey is neutered, negative for FIV/FELV, microchipped and up to date on all vaccines.  He would love to begin his new life in a forever home with a patient and kind new owner.

You can meet this terrific tabby boy at our Freeport location, 2 Rider Place.

Thank you for your interest in Bailey!
