Bobbi and the Strays has acquired a “new” shelter in Nassau County, Long Island. On March 11, 2011 we assumed ownership and
operational control of a pre-existing animal shelter located at 2 Rider Place, Freeport, NY 11520.
Our “new” shelter is anything but new and is in dire need of a good CLEANING, much REPAIR, and total RENOVATION. Far from
ideal right now, we are concentrating on the future and what it can become. To us it represents hope, possibilities, and a
future for so many more animals in need.
When we acquired this building we also acquired the animals the former shelter group housed there including almost two dozen dogs and over 200 cats.
Soon, no longer will homeless animals have to suffer in a dark, depressing, falling apart building. Our Shelter will be a bright, open, and
happy place with an indoor training facility, on-site vet, low cost spay and neuter clinic, outside agility areas – and SO MUCH MORE!
An ambitious goal? Absolutely. But we believe in placing value in what matters most – these precious creatures. Like you we believe that
they are more than worth it.
We are relying on your generous support, help, and donations to get our new shelter fully operational so that we can continue to do the
important work that saves the lives of so many animals each year.
Will you please donate to the building fund today?
