SPECIAL Fundraiser - PLEASE Help us Recover from Sandy
Hard to believe it has been more than a month since Hurricane Sandy hit the East Coast. We are still making repairs to our damaged shelter. We are also still in need of many supplies and skilled labor - and DONATIONS!

Road to Recovery from Superstorm Sandy
Bobbi and the Strays Shelter in Freeport was damaged due to Hurricane/Superstorm Sandy. We have come a long way - but have a long way to go too before things can hopefully be back to normal.

First Anniversary of taking over Shelter located in Freeport
The shelter was in dire need of a good cleaning, upgrade, repair, and renovation when we aquired it. It has since become a bright, happy, welcome place for people to visit and our wards to live in until they find their “furever” homes.

Queens College Women's Team Volunteered in Freeport
The Knights Women's Swimming and Diving Team paid a visit to our Freeport location and volunteered for the day. Thank You and Hopefully we will see you again...

Congratulations to our very own Tracy and Michael who got married at our shelter in Freeport.

Bobbi and the Strays has a NEW SHELTER!!!
GREAT NEWS! We finally have a new shelter!!!

The bad news? It is in dire need of repair and renovation. Plus, with it, we aquired more than another 200 animals that need homes.

School children have a heart
We would like to give special thanks to the children at Lee Road Elementary School in Wantagh N.Y.

The school participated in a community service program for Bobbi and the Strays, in which they collected cans of dog and cat food for our rescue dogs and cats.

Also we would like to give a very special thank you to Denise Camacho, the teacher’s Assistant, who was in charge of the program. Keep up the good work.

Glendale school raises pennies for puppies
For the third consecutive year, students at Dry Harbor Play School in Glendale donated proceeds from their “Pennies for Puppies” fund drive to Bobbi and the Strays. Read about these wonderful kids here:
